Never underestimate the power of community!  Thank you to everyone who helped us reach this fundraising goal.  Thanks to you all, Lizzy Oranges will have a dignified burial that acknowledges her beautiful spirit and allows those closest to her to say a loving goodbye.

In gratitude,

Hands Across Long Island, Inc. (HALI) is honored to organize the fundraising effort to bury and memorialize Elizabeth "Lizzy" Oranges with the dignity and love she deserves.  Lizzy appeared prominently in Lucy Winer's award-winning documentary, Kings Park: Stories from an American Mental Institution, speaking about her story of triumph through childhood and systemic trauma.  Also a past participant in HALI services, Lizzy is remembered fondly by our community and we thank everyone contributing to this effort.

Hands Across Long Island is a peer community providing the opportunity for mental health recovery through collaborative creative efforts.
