Elizabeth's First Book

My name is Elizabeth Areson. I am raising money to get my book of short stories edited for self-publishing (with help from my Dad, Charles since I am under 18).
Yes, I could wait but I think having a book published will be a great learning experience. The chance to work with a professional editor and even experience in marketing when it is complete. How many 16-year-olds have this opportunity?
I am on the honor roll, in color guard, in drama, and active in my local church. My artwork has been displayed in the statehouse for mental health awareness month. My writing has been enjoyed by family, friends and eventually the New York Times Best Sellers List (dream big dad says).
This is the word from one editor (others are charging the same) "The investment for this project is $1,320. Here's how I came up with that: 22,000 words (estimate) x 6¢/per word = $1,320. This price includes the content edit, Skype call, and copyediting. I allow my authors to pay half up front and half after I turn in the manuscript for formatting."
It seems that what I am raising will cover everything, but it won't as Gofundme has a 2.9% charge plus $0.30 per transaction fee. I work at McDonald's between school and other activities and will earn the rest. My parents don't have a lot of extra money but have said they will help as much as they can also.
The sooner I get the funds the soon the book will be complete. Best guess after talking with a couple editors is 3-4 months after the funds are raised for the book could be complete and ready for publishing.
To all my contributors, I will send a copy of my first short story in the Darkly: A Collection of Legends book. It is called "The Battle of Camlann" and it gives the rest of the story about what happened after the fall of Camelot. It is only two pages long and has gone through its first edit. It may change your view of the roundtable.
After the book is complete, everyone who has contributed will get a PDF copy of the book.

What is Darkly: A Collection of Legends?
A Short Story form Earth: The Battle of Camlann
Legends from Irse :
Darkly's 7 Legends & A Brief History of the Dark Lords
(Darkly is a hero with black blood and a pure heart, running from his place in the world.)
The Story of Raven:
The golden age can be witnessed by every generation thanks to the IMPs. No one knows what they are only that they control the chosen few. Those few take on the roles destined for them. The IMPs ensure that.
However, in this generation, the most heroic person among the chosen is a man destined not to be the hero but the villain. To make matters worse, he’s falling for the woman he’s destined to kill.
