Ella Eden Bloss' Equestrian Dream

For those of you who know Ella or happen to be horse lovers please take a look at her story and consider donating to help further her passion for riding and her future career with horses.
Ever since she was a little girl, Ella has been in love with horses. What we thought would be a passing phase, never passed. One of the first times she sat on a horse at age 2, we saw her transform. Her feet could barely reach over the saddle but before our eyes, she sat up straight, took the reins and became a different person. We wondered what had just happened. Since then Ella begged for lessons but she was too small and too young. Finally, at age 6 we enrolled her in horse camp to try it out, she fell deeper in love and hasn’t looked back since.
She is what many call a natural; since she began riding and competing we would hear how good a rider she was. Trainers and seasoned professionals would compliment her on her skills. Ella’s “happy place” is at the barn with the horses, whether it's cleaning stalls, grooming, or exercising other people’s horses, she loves it. In the summers and during school breaks Ella can be found helping younger riders learn the basics at the same horse camp she started at, and now she’s a junior counselor there! Ella has truly found a passion for helping bring new riders to the sport to share their love of horses.
Over the past few years, we’ve been able to support Ella’s weekly riding lessons at local horse shows. This year through the Southern California Horse Show Association (SCHSA), she entered her first final and won the Futures Medal Final. Ella also brought home the Green Rider championship for the year with her trainer’s horse, Beckham.
It has come to the point where Beckham has taken her as far as he can, and it is agreed that the only option for her to move up was to get a horse of her own. Unfortunately, riding is an extremely expensive sport, to get Ella to the next level, she needs the right horse to take her there as well as to enter larger competitions. Recently, we took out a loan to cover the lease of a new horse, LJ. Along with the cost of LJ’s lease, there are additional fees such as boarding, feed, tack, vet bills, showing, and many more. We hope to help her gain more exposure in the show ring and find Ella a sponsor so that she can pursue her riding dreams.
As parents, we want to be able to support her dreams. We currently do this in every way we can but our funds are not enough to cover all of the expenses associated with this sport. In addition to the loan, we are working on side projects to cover the costs while saving for college where she wishes to continue with her interests in art along with a career in Equine Studies.
This is where we are asking for your help. Our goal is to try and raise enough money to help cover this year’s show season to get Ella closer to achieving her dreams of being a professional and moving up to the next level in riding and beyond. She is so talented and loves this so much that we want to do everything we can to help her succeed. We also want to see and encourage more BIPOC riders to enter and succeed in this sport!
Funds from this Go Fund Me will go towards the following:
- Boarding Costs
- Show Fees
- Additional Training
- Horse Transport Costs
- Additional equipment and Veterinary Costs
