Ella Fitzgerald needs your help!

Ella Fitzgerald is a rescue dog who came to me 4 years ago. She has been the best first dog ever. She's a natural born therapy dog and gives freely of her love all over Downtown Raleigh. The old, the homeless, the disenfranchised protesting at the NCGA, the students, the bartenders, the police, and yes me. Ella has stage 1B adenocarcinoma. The good news is that with surgery and radiation she can be expected to live another happy healthy few years. The bad news is that this will cost an estimated 15,000 dollars as it must be done by a  surgeon due to the location of the tumor and the radiation treatments must be done under general anesthesia. I don’t have the ability  to cover it all as I am not able to work full time due to health issues. It has been a truly terrible year financially with many unexpected expenses. EDIT: Her surgery was done January 8 and she was back to her normal goofy self in three days. Remarkably, the surgeon was able to get clean margins. This was a good surprise. EDIT: Ella just finished her radiation protocol at the NCSU vet school which was daily for a MONTH. She has bad colitis and some very raw skin. She’ll continued to be followed at the vet school until she has stabilized. Thank you for any all donations! I am truly grateful.
