Ella Jane Barna, 12, passed away peacefully at home early morning December 3, 2014. Ella was born on May 14, 2002 in Austin, Texas to her parents Kelly and Tina Barna and brothers Jack and Hank. Ella looked up to older brother Jack and loved to mother little brother Hank.
Ella attended Hope Presbyterian Children's Center and Cypress Elementary until she was diagnosed with synovial cell sarcoma in 2nd grade. After this, she was taught at home with love by Mrs. Trudy Haas. She continued her school work in the midst of numerous doctor appointments and completed 5th grade.
Ella stayed connected to the outside world with social media. She had more than forty-thousand followers worldwide on her Instagram Account and was known as the girl who was spunky, loved fashion, make-up and making people smile. On the serious side, she was also known in the Austin/Cedar Park community and around the world as the brave cancer fighter that showed amazing strength, grace and beauty in the face of tremendous adversity. She inspired other cancer warriors to attack and challenge their battles with ferocity.
A visitation will be held from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, on Saturday, the 6th of December 2014, with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm, at Hope Presbyterian Church, 11512 Olson Drive, Austin, Texas, 78750.
