Ella's Cancer Relapse

Donation protected
Hello wonderful friends,
As some may know, last year our beautiful Ella Bella was diagnosed with Acute lymphoblastic leukemia and a mediastinal mass (tumour in her chest).

Ella had been in remission for a little while however was completing her intense chemo regime to ensure the cancer stayed gone!

She was due to commence her final block of intensive chemotherapy treatment in April and it would go for 10 weeks. This plan would see Ella and her family return home to Canberra in June.

Devastatingly after a routine CT scan - on the 13th of April the family found out Ella has relapsed and her cancer is back (in the form of T-cell lymphomas in various regions of her body).
Not only were prognosis numbers scary to hear, so was the even MORE intense chemotherapy and treatment Ella will have to endure being in the high risk category now.
BUT, Ella is incredible. She is so bloody strong, brave, resilient, kind, beautiful and will show cancer who is boss once and for all.

Ella underwent surgery to remove her single lumen central port and now has a double lumen central line (hickman) in her chest. This allows 6 lines able to be used at any given time (3 in each lumen) to safely administer anything needed (transfusion blood products, chemotherapy, fluids, medications etc).

Ella got out of hospital after almost a month in (since 13.04.2023) as she had the complication of sepsis arrise again. She became very sick very fast however it was caught earlier and treated thoroughly to thankfully avoid further complications (like last year)

Ella's oncology team are working hard to treat Ella effectively and get her back into remission again. After this she will require a bone marrow transplant as another major step in her journey.

Aimee and Ricky are wonderful members of the Canberra community who help anybody in need. Aimee completed her nursing degree and started work as a midwife not long before Ella's initial diagnosis when, unfortunately she has needed to go on leave without pay for the duration of Ella’s treatment. Ricky is a small business owner operating in Canberra and will not be able to operate from Sydney. Therefore, we are asking people to provide any financial assistance they can.

Aimee has spent all her time in Sydney with Ella and the kids and Ricky travels back and forth to work when he can, but this does mean time away from his family in these emotional times.

Between myself (one of Ella's Godparents) and her mum, Aimee, we will endeavour to provide updates through this Go Fund Me.
Anything you can give to help provide Aimee, Rick, Ella, Noah & Macy in these hard times will be greatly appreciated.
