Ellas going to Malawi to help Orphaned Children

Hi, my name is Ella, and in July 2025, I’ll be joining West Lancashire Scouts on an incredible trip to Malawi to support the Lancashire based charity FOMO, Friends of Mulanj Orphans.

During this three-week adventure, we’ll be renovating existing school buildings and performing routine maintenance on equipment and facilities that are used every day.

FOMO was established in 2000 by Mary and Keith, their goal was to enhance the health, education and food security, meeting the basic human needs and develop the potential of the orphaned children of Mulanje.

I am so grateful for this chance to make a massive difference in young children of Malawis lives.

So far my work are very kindly supporting the charity by donating footballs and kits giving me the opportunity to deliver football coaching while we are there.

I have made this go fund me page to try and raise approx £500 to ensure the projects we are undertaking while we are there can be completed.

This is where I need your help and support. I would be so grateful for any donations.

Hopefully I can raise enough to give to the charity.
