Ella's Not Fighting This Alone

On Thursday, February 25th 7-year-old Ella Banon woke up not feeling well as kids sometimes do.   A headache and an upset tummy are symptoms every parent has dealt with.   Surly this would be nothing.  But as the morning went on, Ella’s symptoms worsened.  Her parents brought her to the ER.  They soon found themselves in a Helicopter on their way to Children's Hospital in Minneapolis.  Ella had a brain tumor.   

After a couple days in the hospital it would be determined that Ella would need surgery to remove the tumor.   They were released from the hospital to go home, rest and prepare for the weeks of healing after the March 3rd surgery.   Ella was a trooper and she did awesome. 

The tumor was removed but the diagnosis was not what they had hoped.  Ella has Grade 3, Anaplastic Ependymoma and will be undergoing 8 months of treatment which includes radiation in Rochester and chemo in Minneapolis. Please keep this sweet girl and her family in your thoughts and prayers. 

Ella’s parents Paul and Bri understand the road ahead will be difficult.  They will be taking time off work to care for Ella and their three other children.  Their life has been flipped upside down and they need love, prayers and support as they begin this unimaginable journey and fight for Ella’s life.
