Ellen and her family afford Cancer Care

In Sept of 2023 I found out I have ILC - Invasive Lobular Carcinoma in my left breast. For now the right breast remains healthy and my surgeon says based on the biopsy and genetic testing I have very little chance of getting cancer on the right side. So we are proceeding with a single mastectomy on the left side on 12/4/23. I will need at least 2 weeks off of work, possible more and after having a stroke in January I don't have a lot of leave banked at the moment. For now the funds will go towards covering time off that isn't covered by leave, as well as copays and other uncovered medical costs. I don't know yet if I will need radiation or chemotherapy, but I may need more funds to cover time off for those as well.
