Ellen Cummins, dedicated daughter and mummy to puppy Cosmos

Hi I'm Jackie and great friend to Martha Cummins who has lost her daughter Ellen very suddenly to an undiagnosed Heart Disease.

Last year Ellen had a mastectomy, then went through chemotherapy, radiotherapy, she suffered all the awful side effects that could possibly follow these post operative treatments, but she came through the other side, ringing that famous bell with the absolute euphoria of beating this horrible disease.

For every hurdle that she was confronted with, Martha was there for her, sitting up all night with her waiting for treatment and a bed at the hospital, or providing consolation during those miserable days and nights when inbetween treatments. This was all while Martha had and still has some serious health conditions herself.

Once clear Ellen decided to fulfill her long term dream of getting a dog. In December 2023, along came Cosmos the Podenco Puppy. A match made in Heaven, they adored each other, Ellen had become a mummy.

Losing Ellen is not the first tradegy that Martha has suffered. The premature death of her husband Ollie, the loss of her only son Derek and more recently her partner Mick have contributed to her very unfortunate life. We want her to get through this next tragic chapter of her life. We are hoping to raise some funds to help Martha pay for Ellens' funeral, a new plot is needed at the Cemetary along with the usual incredibly high prices of laying her devoted daughter to rest.
