Ellen Wolock Memorial Playground

A quiet champion for the children of New Jersey, Ellen fought to improve the quality and quantity of preschool access in her role as as the Director of Early Childhood Education for the Department of Education.

She raised her two daughters in Flemington and and loved our town dearly. During her frequent dog walks through downtown Flemington, she’d comment on the need for a playground.

Ellen died on December 18, 2023 following a seven year struggle with Frontotemporal Lobe Dementia (FTD).

Funds will be used to create a public, quality play space for young children in Ellen's memory.
