This is our 3 year old granddaughter whom we lovingly refer to as "Elle Bean" or "Boogie". On Tuesday, June 16th after a bout of nausea and vomiting, Elle developed a headache. Her mother took her to the hospital where after having a CT scan, it was revealed that she had a mass. They were taken by ambulance to Kaiser in L.A. She had a CT angio and an MRI which revealed a large mass invading her right parieto-occipital regions of her brain. On Friday, June 19th, she had surgery to remove the mass. These last four days, her parents have been able to visit (one visitor at a time) due to Covid. Both of her parents live in Hemet which can be 2 hour drive either way. Right now her parents (along with step parents) are staying in hotels close by because Ronald McDonald House is not available. It is crucial that her parents are close by to support their child. I don't normally ask for help but am asking for donations to help keep her parents close by providing for lodging. Currently, our Elle Bean is being weaned off of sedation. Our hope is that she will be able to wake up, recognize her parents. We have a long road of recovery ahead of us that is going to include chemotherapy and or radiation, physical and occupational therapy, and what ever treatment modalities that give her the best chance possible. But for now, our children need to stay close by to help support their child with their physical presence as much as they can. Any money remaining will be used to support further modalities that give her the best life possible.
We also appreciate good thoughts and prayers. Please help our Warrior Princess in the fight of her life...
