Elliana's Journey

Hi, my name is Brittney. I'm Elliana's mom and this is OUR STORY. On February 26th my daughter was showing signs of not feeling well, but she had no fever, no cough and no runny nose. At 10:46am I remember looking up at my daughter Elliana laying on the couch nodding off while on the phone, I go on to say "yes my daughter Elliana won't eat, play, laugh, she's not hot, not alot of wet diapers. Just wants to sleep." The nurse immediately told us to come in at 2:30pm that day. Fast forward to the doctors office. My daughter is literally laying there lethargic the doctors just felt like she was running a fever and would be fine. They do a flu swab and a couple virus blood work samples. Told me everything came back as normal and they were discharging us to go home. This is what hurts, I had to use the restroom and a doctor offered to hold my baby while I did so. When I came back nurses and doctors were standing in her room saying to each other "this breathing worries me we're going to transport her to main campus." Get to main campus they IMMEDIATELY do a chest x-ray a half hour later they come back with a head heart doctor to say to me "your daughters heart is a 10/10 this is very life threatening we're going to admit her now." In a few hours not only did my life change but so did Elliana's.
