Ellie’s dream holiday

Hi , my name is Matty and I’m setting myself a tough challenge to complete the national three peaks (Scotland,England Wales) within 24hrs.. on the 15th august 2022 we will start our journey driving up to Ben Nevis in Scotland and in the early hrs of Tuesday the 16th along side me will be my friend Michael grainger and Ryan Howell who have kindly volunteered to take up this challenge with us All for a brave , courageous young girl Ellie .

Ellie and her family have been apart our lives for a long time now especially my partner Emma and our three daughters .

my aim is to raise some funds to help towards her dream holiday she’s been waiting for. a trip to Greece .

about Ellie …she has an incredibly rare cancer, In 2019 Ellie and her family got given the terrible news that she had Been suffering with a WILMS Tumour all her life and went undiagnosed, to the point this tumour had grow to the size of a water melon. This led to plenty of surgery’s . And it being thankfully removed . Once removed this lead to the sad news that the cancer wasn’t contained to the kidney and had reached other parts of her body through micro cells , Lots of chemo and radio therapy along the line & on such small shoulders and she’s battled through it all , All seemed to have paid off and hopeful . 2021 we all had a sigh of relief as things had seemed to have been working but sadly Ellie’s cancer came back and more aggressive on her lungs, She’s had top and lower lobes and parts of her mid section removed on the right lung with two smaller surgeries . Her latest MRI has discovered more sad news and her diagnosis is now incurable . Ellie is now 11 and doesn’t know what her future holds or how long they have . Ellie and her family have wanted to fulfil her wish of a holiday but due to her health they have not been able to do so .

earlier this year my aim were to row to Belgium in aid for Ellie but due to high tides it got cancelled . I’ve been thinking long and hard to what I can do to push myself to complete a tough task, so with help from Michael and Ellie’s strength I will complete it .

she is a real true inspiration to us and our three daughters . And we aim to do her proud and get her on that beach in Greece .
