Ellie's Leukaemia Journey
Hi all, I'm a close family friend of Ellies parents. Ellie is a bubbly little girl from Meath whose life has been turned upside down literally overnight.
Catapulted into a world of hospitals and doctors and treatment.
Her diagnoses is ALL acute lymphoblastic leukaemia which thankfully has a 96 % success rate of being cured but the road ahead is long and hard for her and her family.
Just 2 days before her diagnosis her parents and the kids where ecstatic at finally purchasing their new family home but their world quickly changed from happiness to shock and fear as Ellie was diagnosed with Leukaemia.
There is no good time to get this news but it has been especially hard for the guys having used their financial reserves to get the house ready to bring their family home as they were living in relatives for a short period as there was works needing done to the house which then needed to be done in a week to get the other kids home and try to have some normality for them as Ellie started her treatment and then was released to come home and have day trips to the hospital for chemo and treatments meaning some weeks up to 4 days a week and at times will result in short and long stays in Crumlin.
Whilst Ellie’s medical bills are being taken care which is a blessing there is as you can imagine loss of wages with her treatment intense for 6 months and in total 2 years of treatment, and at this time of the year will be a big challenge.
The guys will be down at least one full wage for the next 6 months all going well and it's this period we are asking people to help with please.
I know the guys are incredibly grateful for all the love and support they are getting from everyone and especially to all the people who helped with the move and getting their house ready while Ellie was in hospital.
Please Donate what you can to help the guys through this difficult period!
Many Thanks
