Elliot Lewis' Eagle Scout Project - Cemetery Beautification

Hi, I am Elliot Lewis, a senior in high school working to earn my Eagle Scout rank. My Eagle project is the restoration/beautification of Glover Cemetery in Roswell, GA.

The project will involve:

1) Removing overgrown vegetation within the cemetery area

2) Repairing 2 sections of the fence by reattaching the fence to the top fence rail

3) Cleaning the 15-foot paver walking path within the cemetery

4) Cleaning 10 gravestones with a scrub brush

5) Repairing the cemetery sign to improve the site's appearance

My project will help preserve and restore an important historical site, ensuring that it remains a respectful and accessible place for visitors, families, and the community. The overgrown vegetation has made the whole cemetery impossible to navigate, and repairing the fence will help protect the area from further damage. Cleaning the walking path and gravestones will improve visibility and honor those buried there by making their markers more readable.
