Elliott CAN beat skin cancer #malignantmelanomore
Donation protected
We are raising funds for my 26 year old nephew Elliott Simpson. For those of you who know Elliott you will know what an amazing young man he is. Elliott is Blackburn born and bred and has been a Blackburn Rovers supporter since the day he could say COYB’s.
Elliot was diagnosed with a metastatic melanoma at the end of 2020 on the back of this he also has a diagnosis of Crohn’s disease. Normally he would’ve been offered combination immuno therapy to treat his melanoma but because of side-effects, it was deemed too risky to give him combination immuno therapy and he started on single-agent immuno therapy 12 months ago. He has recently had the news, they are concerned that his immuno therapy isn’t working as well as it was in the beginning, and now that his Crohn’s is under control (after having surgery last year to remove some of his bowel) , the they would like him to have the combination immuno therapy. However the funding request to NHS England has been declined and it has been suggested to Elliot and his family that they would need to fund one of the drugs themselves, but also have this done privately which increasing the costs massively. The cost f this treatment will be in excess of £180,000 plus other costs.
Before donating please note there is a optional commission bar at the bottom of the donation where you decide how much omission goes to Go FundMe this is optional - we need as much money to go to Elliott as possible so please look at this before donating
