Elliott’s knee surgery
Hi there! My name is Alyssa and I’m trying to raise some money for my 1 year old, Golden Retriever named Elliott
You see a few months ago My little brother took him for a walk, Elliott being super excited and curious all the time was tugging on the leash, my brother tried to hold on as best as he could but Elliott was much stronger than him. He lost grip of the leash and Elliott was loose out in the street.
Elliott living his carefree life didn’t see the car coming and by the time he did it was too late. the car hit him on his left side. Not only did the car run over my dog, but the driver didn’t even stop to ask if he was okay. They just left. My little brother, witnessed everything and feels 100 percent responsible for Elliott’s accident.
We took him to the vet. Limping into the Banfield office he had tire marks on his left hind leg, scratches, bruises, open cuts, all over his left hind side. but luckily nothing was broken. The doctor had given him pain meds and we hoped all was well. But he was still limping despite medication, and rest. He didn’t seem himself, wasn’t really eating.
We took him again to the clinic for radiographs and it turns out he has a ligament tear in his knee and now needs a 5000 surgery to fix it. Coming from a middle class family of five, 5000 dollars isn’t something we have just lying around. I feel Elliott has his whole life ahead of him, and I hope we are able to provide what he needs so he can life his best quality of life. I hope that with this story, my family’s prayers, and with any kind of help from you we are able to have his surgery done.
I appreciate the time you took to read this, anything helps. God bless you!
