Ellyn's and her family's world was shook to the core on Sunday, October 29 when a visit to the ER for "cardiac symptoms" quickly changed to a CT scan showing a very large mass in the right lower lobe of her lungs. Although fear, anxiety, doubts, anger arose in everyone about why was this happening and why is this happening to such an amazing woman, Ellyn's faith was the strongest of them all. "Fear is a liar" and in the words of Ellyn, the devil will lie in the speed bumps but we must turn to Him in whatever posture we are and let Him lighten the load.

Leaning into her faith and trusting His plan always, the testing/biopsies/imaging/quick-hospital-stay all commenced at a hastened speed due the immense caring and advocacy from her pulmonologist Dr. Samuel Allen. During her recent hospital stay, pathology came back on her lung biopsy and the greatest fear was realized - the cancer she had 8 years ago decided it wanted to return with a vengeance. Thus the commencement of OPERATION GTSO (Get This S*** Out).
