Our Father was many things. A family man, a retired Navy Chief who was strong in his faith. He was active member of his church,  Knights of Columbus, and a pillar at Chula Vista Masonic Lodge No. 626.

On January 22, 2021, our Father passed away peacefully due to complications of COVID19. His passing was extremely sudden and surreal to us. We couldn't possibly be more  heartbroken.

Family was everything to our Father and now we are trying to come together as a family to help our Mother through this difficult time. She was overseas in Japan when he passed and our baby brother was finishing Navy C School in Virginia.

Our Dad had a smile that would light up the energy in any room. He was our super-hero. He loved our Mother very much and cared deeply about each and everyone of his children. At the end of day he was always going to be Dad. Someone who you can turn to if you ever needed advise, or words of endearment. If it was a helping hand, or a dance partner. He was man of his word. He loved everyone and everyone loved him and we are still in disbelief that he is gone.

Due to the current pandemic it's very difficult for our families and friends to partake in the 3 day viewing, funeral and burial. We are trying to make sure we capture this monumental service in his honor.

Dad was 66 when he passed. He was still very young with the rest of his life ahead of him. Our Father meant a lot to many people, and we are overwhelmed with your love and support. Many people are asking what is the best way to contribute during this time of loss, and we think that this is the safest way.

On behalf of the family, in the most devastating of circumstances, we have setup this GoFundMe campaign to help ask for any donations whatsoever to help ensure we're able to remember and celebrate Dad's life with a memorial and funeral.

As a family we'd like to express our sincerest gratitude to everyone who has reached out and is supporting us during this time.

Dad is looking down on us now with that magnetic smile of his. We will miss him greatly, but ensure that his legacy of love and kindness will endure.

Love,

Rosemarie, Rosel, Earl, Karla and Aaron Agapay.
