Baan & Elsa Muller's Medical Costs

Hello family and friends, it has been a few months since we launched this GoFundMe for Elsa Muller and we are SO grateful for all of the help!

We wanted to thank you for your support and also to update you on the situation as it stands. Elsa underwent two rounds of chemo along with additional natural treatments helping to minimize the negative effects of the chemo.

She’s continuing with the natural treatments and we have a CT scan booked for her in a few weeks to see how the progress is going. The unfortunate part of our update is that Elsa’s husband, Baan has also been diagnosed with cancer. He will be starting treatments for prostate cancer in the next month.

It has been a whirlwind for Elsa and Baan and the whole family, and we have appreciated every text and check in, the meal deliveries and the drop by visits! It is incredible to be surrounded with a community like this!

The GoFundMe funds have enabled Elsa to continue with natural treatments and moving forward will also provide support for Baan’s treatment. This has been made possible by your generosity, for which we are so grateful!

Six months ago, Elsa Muller's life took an unexpected and challenging turn. What started as feeling a bit "off" soon escalated into debilitating fatigue and nausea. A hospitalization unveiled the devastating truth: Elsa was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Though the stage of her cancer remained uncertain, the Muller family maintained hope and moved forward with surgical plans to remove the cancerous tumor.

However, when the procedure took place, it brought forth the heart-wrenching revelation that Elsa's battle was at stage 4, the most advanced stage of pancreatic cancer. In the face of this daunting diagnosis, Elsa now confronts further treatments that are essential to extend her time with her family and loved ones.

Today, we reach out to you, our friends, family, and compassionate individuals, to request your support for Elsa's journey. We are rallying together to raise the funds needed to cover the expenses of these critical medical treatments, ensuring that we can cherish every moment we have with her.

Elsa embodies a heart brimming with love and care for others. We are pretty sure she has prayed with most of you - and for most of you! Her unwavering devotion to her family, her adoration for her nine grandchildren, and her deep faith are at the core of her being and serve as an anchor, providing her with a sense of peace as she confronts this times. Elsa is a woman of spirit, adventure, spunk, and a contagious spark for life. Her journey is a shared one with her loving husband of 43 years by her side, a testament to their enduring love and partnership. Together, Baan & Elsa embarked on an adventure of a lifetime when they got married and came to Canada from the Netherlands. They had 4 children and 9 grandchildren and passed along their love of adventure and their steadfast love and faith in God to all of them. Elsa’s son and three daughters are by her side, offering support and love. Her grandchildren are the apple of her eye, and she treasures every moment spent with them.

We’ve had so many people ask what they can do to help. They’ve made meals, sent flowers and have prayed for us and with us. If you would like to do more we have opened up this opportunity for you to do so. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference for Elsa. The treatments she is seeking work in conjunction with the chemotherapy in helping to direct the chemo therapy to the specific affected area and also help improve her quality of life to reduced cancer-related side effects.
