A Veteran and Family Retreat at ESI

We are a non-profit organization, centrally located in Elsmore, Kansas. Once an old abandoned school building, we are striving to rehabilitate the building to serve as a gateway to a successful transitioning facility for disabled veterans and service members.  A transitional facility in South East Kansas could go a long way to help and assist veterans in this vast region of the United States with a roughly half a million-veteran population. Along with that half a million-veterans, are family members or caregivers that also need support. Family members, caregivers, and spouses qualify for support services under certain criteria through the Veterans Administration. The underlying issue? There are no groups within 75-150 miles of Allen County Kansas.

Our facility wants to provide service members with the ability to overcome transitional challenges such as: combat to civilian life, employment, education and development, financial planning, mental health, individual and family therapy, and much more.

Onsite we will ALSO provide our service members and their families with a one week retreat free of cost!  There will be on site housing and local catering services for meals. This organization will bring groups of the same military platoon in so they can bond with their foreign and domestic families after separation. They will be able to enjoy the outdoor kitchen under a 40x80' Pavilion, handmade waterfall, lazy river, on-site fishing pond, gardens, softball field and track, and even a replicated combat training course for children and adults. This retreat will offer health and wellness education, support groups, physical strengthening, team building skills, communication skills, bonding, meditation and yoga classes, and many other benefits.

All donations will go to the Elsmore Sustainability Institute as it is being rehabilitated into a transitional facility. Our service members and their families sacrifice more than they should ever have too without hesitation....now this is the time we should be there for them without hesitation!

We are currently working on the facility as we speak but we need YOUR help to accomplish such an astonishing facility. Donations or even a share helps us HELP OUR VETERANS!
