Elsternwick Park Nature Reserve Masterplan

Help support the creation of the stunning and unique Elsternwick Park Nature Reserve
The Elsternwick Park Association (EPA) is a fully volunteer-run community group dedicated to transforming the former Elsternwick Golf Course into a unique open space – a wetland full of native plants and animals, coupled with a tranquil urban forest. Earlier this year, Bayside City Council completed the Masterplan for the Elsternwick Park Nature Reserve, a comprehensive design and strategy to transform the land into a place of refuge for both people and wildlife. https://www.bayside.vic.gov.au/news/plan-elsternwick-park-nature-reserve
We’ve started volunteer group activities to help develop the nature reserve and establish the park as a community hub for locals and visitors. Activities include surveying the native flora and fauna in the park – from birdlife to reptiles, mammals (including the fascinating and intelligent rakali that the park is home to) and their habitat – to running litter clean ups, planting and weeding days, environment and ecology education and tours, and community social events.
The EPA is seeking funds of up to $10,000 to support the administrative and logistical set up of these activities, including the purchase of equipment and materials, insurance overheads, administrative and communications tools and more.
Help the Elsternwick Park Nature Reserve become a reality by donating now.
But don’t stop there! You can also join the conversation about the park on the EPA Facebook page and better yet, become a member of the Elsternwick Park Association and get involved in making the park a reality.
Together, we can make this beautiful wilderness a place for generations to enjoy.
See you in the park,
