Elton’s FIP medication fund

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Candice, and I would like to share my heartfelt journey with my perfect baby, Elton. I welcomed him into my life last April, and he quickly became the most lively and playful companion. However, as time went on, Elton's energy diminished, and he lost interest in the activities he once loved.

In early December, I noticed a concerning change in Elton's behavior – he walked awkwardly on his hind legs, displaying signs of coordination issues. Despite repeated visits to my vet, the initial diagnosis suggested an infection, for which they prescribed steroids to alleviate swelling. Unfortunately, Elton's condition deteriorated rapidly; he lost his vision, his walking became more challenging, and he experienced spasms throughout the day.

Seeking further expertise, I consulted a neurologist who mentioned the possibility of FIP, a potentially life-threatening condition. To confirm the diagnosis, they recommended a crucial $5,000 test. Faced with the urgency of the situation, I researched and discovered that administering medicine promptly could significantly improve Elton's chances, even if FIP wasn't confirmed. Determined to give him the best possible care, I redirected the funds intended for the diagnostic test towards the medication.

I'm delighted to report that after 56 days of intensive treatment, Elton has shown remarkable progress. His vision has returned, and he's regained his playful spirit. However, the financial strain has become overwhelming. As a 20-year-old college student living independently, the burden of accumulating debt for Elton's medical expenses is challenging.
