Emaciated, sick dog was found in a garbage bag

Nanook's story is horrific. She was found in a garbage bag in a parking lot between two cars. She was still alive, but barely. The poor dog was so malnourished that she couldn't move or lift her head. She was rushed to the emergency hospital immediately. Doctors discovered bleeding and infected pressure sours all over her legs, indicating that she was kept on a hard floor in one position for a while. The oozing discharge from her private area for unknown reasons is also alarming, but worse is her muscle atrophy. She's been starved for so long that her muscles wasted away. Weighing only 14 lbs, Nanook's life is hanging by a thread. Sadly, we most likely will never find out who's done it to her, but rest assured, we will do everything we can to save that innocent life. Nanook has a long way to go until all her wounds, mental and physical, are healed. Daily physical therapy, small, frequent meals, medications… Once she’s a little stronger, she most likely will need underwater physical therapy. But we’re taking it one step at a time. Nanook is so resilient, she keeps impressing us every hour of every day. The trust and gratitude in her eyes warm our hearts.
