Emani " The Road to Recovery and Healing!

On Friday, February 2,2024 around 10:30pm, I received a phone call from Huntersville PD that shook my world to a core! My worst fear as a parent came true!! My baby girl, Emani Blanco Just 16 years old was a passenger in a car that was involved in a Fatal car accident Leaving a high school basketball game. She sustained life threatening injuries that will require a long road to recovery! Emani is the oldest of three children. She is a junior at Mallard Creek High School with a current GPA of 3.7. She is a GREAT daughter, big sister, granddaughter, niece and friend! Emani is well known for her genuine personality, always smiling, dancing, and always being there for EVERYBODY! Emani is such a good kid who has never given me any problems!

These are some of the injuries Emani Sustained:

-Damage to both lungs- has chest tubes placed on both sides to relieve extra blood and air

-Had abdomen opened due to internal bleeding suffered liver and kidney lacerations. Had Surgery 2 days after accident to close abdomen.

-Dislocated hip and broke pelvis- Had surgery.

-Suffered fractures to her face on the left side had to have surgery. Left eye is stitched shut so it is possible she will not be able to open eye completely.

-Suffered mild stroke on right side of brain, small bleeding on brain and has Diffuse Axonal grade 2 injury to brain.

-Broke bone above elbow on her left arm

-Broke both forearm bone on right arm

-Damaged main artery in heart had surgery to place stent.

-Suffered cuts and bruises on face

-Suffered fractures to neck and spine had neurosurgery to place titanium in neck.

I recently lost my father, on December 9, 2023, that required me to miss work. As you can imagine, I have NOT and will NOT leave my baby’s side, which will require me to miss work yet again but this time for a MUCH longer period! My Family and I are asking for monetary donations.

My baby has a long road of recovery, but I know that God is Jehovah Jireh “The Lord who provides "and Jehovah Rapha " The Lord who heals"!
