Embarrassing assault requiring surgical solution for Debbie Seabourn

Hello, my name is Debbie and I am seeking assistance to pay for a must have surgery that needs to occur sooner than later. I have been going through this privately and the experience has been extremely traumatic and embarrassing to me. I will be so appreciative of any supporters in my fundraising effort since I have been going through this privately. Please bear in mind while you consider donating how you would feel if this had happened to your mother, sister or daughter.

I was renting a room in a house with two men whom I did not know prior to moving in. On the morning of November 29th, 2019, I was physically assaulted by one of the roommates during a normal conversation. He is a 23 y/o ex high school football player Ronald Edward Foster, Jr. (known as Ron J by family). He suffers from Bipolar disorder and is a drug addict according to his parents. At that time, he was working a part time minimum wage job and does not have money to cover any expenses resulting from this assault. I am on disability and do not have access to Medicaid for 18 more months. This was actually the second assault but on the 29th he was removed by the police and I have a temporary VPO against him. We are returning to court in March where the continuation of the VPO will be decided.

Between the two assaults he several times attempted to instigate fights. Both times I was assaulted he came at me from behind. The final time I was sitting at my computer desk in my bedroom facing a wall. He came up behind me and slammed my rolling chair into my desk. The adjustable chair went forward and downward and the desk hit me across the top of my chest. This caused both of my breast implants to become dislodged and have relocated to the bottom of my breasts causing extreme heaviness and discomfort and requiring constant restraint to ease the discomfort.

Of course, these implants must be removed and drainage tubes installed for a week.

On the way out of the hearing where Mr. Foster and I went to court for the VPO on December 13th, I was handed a package filled with information on various victim advocacy resources. Understanding that Mr. Foster will never be able to pay for my surgeries I believed that the Oklahoma Victim’s Compensation Fund would be my answer. To my great dismay the District Attorney will not be of any assistance to me for collecting funds from the Victim’s Compensation Fund. The surgeon I saw will not legally state that the damage was done by this incident on November 29th since he had not viewed the implants prior to injury. Unfortunately for me, no surgeon will make that determination for me. Therefore, the District Attorney’s office cannot process my application or release any funds to me.

I have been to a plastic surgeon and Dr. Webster will not do a remove and replace at the same time to see how I heal. The surgeries are done in their own on-site operating room and includes the anesthesiologist. This surgery has a price tag of $6000.00. The second surgery (including implants) will be $6500.00. A little extra will cover my compression bras and the $50.00 I spent for the consultation.

I am not looking forward to these surgeries. I would never have dealt with these implants again. I am however looking forward to being able to give my darling grandbabies big bear hugs without pain.

Thank you for reading my story. I appreciate any help or contribution, no matter how big or small. I will keep you updated with surgery dates and follow up information. Any questions, please contact Debbie at [email redacted].

Thank you for your support and God Bless each of you.
