With the rising incidence of global climate disasters, wildfires are projected to be bigger and stronger in the coming years. Previous wildfire seasons have typically lasted 4 months. In 2020, over an 8-month long season, wildfires ripped through more than 10 million acres, decimating acreage in every state in the US. Members of our Ember Flash team lived through the CZU fires in 2020; one of our software engineers lost his home. Bringing together engineers and fire departments, Ember Flash is committed to creating the solutions needed to fight extreme weather events facing our modern world.
We are building long endurance drones and seamless surveying systems to support frontline responders, and we need your help.
Current solutions lack comprehensive and affordable environmental surveying technologies. Wildfire prevention is more than defensible space and controlled burns. It's also investing into technologies that create climate and disaster related support solutions.
Ember Flash is developing an advanced unmanned aircraft system for disaster relief agencies and frontline responders that will provide them with real time decision-making assistance and an intuitive user interface to create a previously unimaginable level of situational awareness and safety. We will be able to determine locations at risk of fires, predict patterns of wildfires to fight existing fires, and provide firefighters with communication resources that surpass compasses and maps.
