What is the Annual Fund?
The Waldorf School of Pittsburgh Annual Fund is
made up of gifts from generous parents like you,
alums, teachers, staff, parents of alums, former staff,
grandparents, and friends. In 2016–17, gifts from donors added up to $61,650 in support for some of our most precious projects. Your annual fund donation makes an immediate impact on the quality of
the school and directly benefits your child and other
students.
Why does the Waldorf School of Pittsburgh have
an Annual Fund?
Our continued success requires expansion! Every
class, fifth grade and lower, is at or near student
capacity. More growth is on the horizon. Since 2012,
we have created six new classrooms. Visit our third
grade classroom and you can see the most recent
change in our building from last year. We are just one
8th grade classroom away from completing Phase
1 of our Master Plan. In addition to 243 students
enrolled at WSP this year, Camp Waldorf summer
camp continues to grow. Last year, we offered our first
needs-based scholarships to new campers that live in
the Bloomfield/Garfield/Friendship neighborhoods.
A successful Annual Fund, supported by a large
percentage of the Waldorf community, directly
contributes to the experience children have at WSP.
It affirms and celebrates all that we’ve embraced and
continue to embrace together. It reflects our belief
in the transformative power and beauty a Waldorf
Education provides.
