Lalibela, has been deeply affected by the ongoing civil war and faces unimaginable hardship. The war has devastated the lives of many residents, leaving them in a situation where poverty, hunger, and the lack of basic necessities have become part of daily life.

Most residents depend on tourism for their livelihood, but with the conflict, tourism has completely stopped. For months, they have had no income, worsening the already dire situation.

To make matters worse, the government has largely blocked assistance from international aid networks, and there are significant restrictions on media coverage, meaning the world has little knowledge of the severity of the situation.

This isolation has made it even more difficult for the people of Lalibela to receive the help they need.

Lalibela is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and spiritual heart of Ethiopia. This historic city, renowned for its unique rock-hewn churches relies on your help.

With this fundraising campaign, we aim to bring much-needed help to Lalibela. Many families have lost their homes and livelihoods. They are struggling to survive, as essential resources such as food, clean water, medical care, and safe shelter are in short supply.
