Emergency aid for the people of South Sudan

Hi. My name is Matt Hawkins and I am part of the Global Compassion Coalition. We work with community organizers across the world who are working to create "communities of compassion".

One of those groups is in South Sudan which is being devastated by the twin-impacts of a civil war and heatwave. Our national lead there, James, has asked for your help.

Hi everyone. My name is James Akoon Akot and I am the National Lead for the Compassion Connectors in South Sudan. We urgently need your help.

We've been experiencing a prolonged heatwave here.

Temperatures are now reaching up to 45 degrees Celsius and we simply do not have the resources to cope.

Already battered by civil war, we are being left completely exposed.

We lack clean drinking water, food, and medical supplies.

The elderly and children are especially vulnerable. Many are dying. Please, if you can, help us.
