EMERGENCY AMPUTATION, anything helps!
Donation protected
on friday july 7th, our dogs kilo and chewy were in the backyard doing their usual routine where they escaped our fence, where someone else was walking their dog on the other side, whom they wanted to greet. before we could get both of our animals, the other owner believed he was being attacked and they were both shot. chewy was killed almost instantly and kilo was shot in his front left leg. after a visit to the ER and an $1800 bill, we were told kilo needed an emergency amputation as soon as possible as the bullet had completely shattered his bone, leaving no other option but amputation, which was quoted anywhere from $2500-$3500. since this happened on a weekend, no emergency vet was able to take kilo in until monday as he was stable, leaving us with another $400 bill for wound care/bandage change every 24 hours until he can get seen for an amputation. kilo is getting his amputation performed monday july 10th. all donations will be put towards kilos surgery and rehabilitation needs as well as chewys cremation. these two animals are the most loving dogs i’ve ever had the blessing of having in our life! they’ve been around kids, other dogs and cats their entire life and have never been aggressive. this has been a very tragic event that nobody could have foreseen. any donations are greatly appreciated. thank you!
UPDATE :
kilo successfully had his amputation done on Monday and he’s slowly recovering as expected. all other donations will go towards his aftercare and needs. thank you to everyone who has shared and donated, it’s greatly appreciated!
