Emergency assistance for the family of Fred DLC

On November 15, my oldest brother Fred and his beautiful wife Irene were diagnosed with covid. Their condition worsened and required hospitalization. Irene, thankfully after two weeks of care, was released and continues to recuperate at home. Unfortunately, Fred's condition worsened and he was moved to ICU. After a few days of no improvement he was placed on a ventilator.

His condition was stable for the most part, but began fluctuating toward the end. We stood on our faith and pressed into prayer, hoping and believing for a miracle. Sadly, on the night of December 16th, we were notified that his condition had taken a turn for the worse. Our family rushed to the hospital and we fought in prayer for hours. Doctor's and medical staff did all they could to keep him with us. Later that same night, he succumbed to this illness. We said goodbye and he went into the arms of his Savior, joining his youngest brother Mark and his dear brother in law Harvey.

We are devastated and heartbroken at the loss of our beloved brother, son, father, husband, uncle and friend to so many. Most knew Fred as a truck driver who had been driving for over 40 years. As his family, we knew Fred to be a gentle, loving, faithful, hard working, and generous man who loved the Lord, his family and friends with all of his heart.

He was known to be the first to lend a hand to whoever may be in need. Fred was the first to visit family or friends when they were ill, in the hospital or just giving much needed encouragement. Fred was quick to offer a meal or even help with finances when the need arose.

During the time of Fred & Irene's hospitalization, they were unable to generate income. This understandably has been a challenge. We as a family are asking you to please prayerfully consider contributing to the mounting expenses this situation has caused. Please also pray for Irene, their children, parents Mom and Dad De La Cruz and the rest of the family. We are thankful for everyone who has reached out in love and offered condolences.
