Emergency Care for Kermit
Donation protected
If you know Kermit, you love Kermit!
A rescue pup from North Shore Animal League, she is a local celebrity in her neighborhood in Brooklyn, the co-host of NTV, and everyone’s bestie.
4 days ago Kermit started limping, and what initially looked like a small injury became worrisome when it rapidly worsened & she suddenly couldn’t use both her front & back paws on her right side. She was rushed to her local vet & then Blue Pearl ER where they immediately recommended she get a MRI, fearing a neurological disorder. It turns out Kermit suffered a small spinal stroke in her neck, restricting blood flow to her right side & causing nerve damage. The good news is Kermit will most likely recover with treatment, physical therapy, and a lot of love and patience. Nate is committed to doing everything he can to get her to full mobility. The less good news.. the medical bills & debt are piling up. This year was very difficult for Nate, he was just starting to get on his feet after facing eviction and almost losing his home & art studio. If you know Nate you know there is nothing on earth he wouldn’t do for his Kermit.
