Emergency Covid FUND for Merlinda DIZON
Update: 8/1 - To our Dearest Family and Friends,
We are simply OVERWHELMED by the outpouring of each and every one of your extremely generous donations, constant reminders of
prayers and love, heart felt support, and expressions of concern during this difficult time where it has felt like a bomb has exploded within
our family, and we are still in the after-shocks and after-math period.
The good news is Dad was discharged on 7/30 and now resides with Dan and family in WA, with daughter Marlene helping to care for him. Although special prayers are still needed for Mom, as of today, she is still hospitalized. She desaturates down to 70% (goal of O2 is 85-90%) and becomes extremely short of breath with just simple ADLs, so it has been hard to assess her level of functioning after the stroke. Due to her still being in covid isolation, we can only converse with her for short mins. until she tires and weakens easily but she does express how eagerly she wants to come home. We are hoping very soon she will be medically stable so she can begin the journey of stroke rehabilitation. Please continue to pray for us as we make vital decisions towards where would be best for her care and rehab.
THANK YOU AGAIN!!!
To Family and Friends of Merlinda and Danilo Dizon,
We come to you now, with heavy hearts to ask for immediate prayers and emergency funds for Mom and Dad as they continue their fight
against Covid. Mom Merlinda was admitted on 7/16 to Providence Hospital in WA, is currently bravely fighting covid. Dad was also taken
to the ER with high fever and admitted on 7/18. While Dad has improved, Mom who is the backbone to our whole family and Dad's main
caregiver, has progressively worsened. Yesterday 7/26, she developed weakness & mis-coordination and a CT scan showed she suffered a
ischemic stroke from a clot that developed from covid complications to the left parietal side of her brain. She is currently unable to walk
and can barely stand and they are hoping her stroke progress will show more improvement in the next couple of days.
Please if you can donate, we are trying to raise emergency funds for Mom and Dad for their current hospitalization and future plans to
hopefully discharge and go home with home care. We thank you so much for your continued love and prayers. We will keep you updated
and appreciate anything you can give.
Love,
Sons: Dan & Aimee Dizon, Jeff & Stephanie Dizon
