Emergency Dental Reconstruction for Paschal

For those reading, on Friday 8th July Paschal had a severe crash on his bike. Of the worst of his injuries he has broken/ knocked out six teeth with two more teeth suffering trauma (upper and lower jaw), dislocation of jaw and inner and outer mouth lacerations. Paschal will likely need private dental work for 8 teeth, which will not be covered on the NHS. He was told costs will vary depending on the practice but to expect a minimum of £2,000 per tooth.

We are asking for anyone and everyone to help on this, if you’re Paschal’s friend, family, colleague, part of the bike community, a brand who Paschal supports, or has worked with or supported Paschal in the past or familiar face, to raise dental costs of minimum £12,000. The accident lead to an emergency CT scan at St Thomas’ Hospital, and a transfer to Kings College London for specialist care from the Maxillofacial team. Most importantly, there are no life long damages to his head, neck or spine. At KCL Paschal received specialist mouth and dental surgery, and was advised ASAP to see an emergency dentist.

The advise from the dentist is the reason for creating this Fundraiser. The information is vague so far, as Paschal’s mouth was still too swollen to get a clear x-ray result. He will be re-visiting in 5 days when swelling calms down, and will begin to get more information on what will be needed, the timeframe and the costs which I will update this fundraiser with.

Although there are mixed ideas about asking for help, because this is a personal matter and no one else’s, it seems necessary. It will be costly, if the remaining tooth roots are unable to be saved, which Paschal was told is very likely.

If you can help in any way at all, even if it is just one pound, it will be appreciated. The support from the bike community, family and friends so far is great and its all going to help in his recovery. Let’s get Paschal back riding his bike as quickly as possible. Be more Paschal!
