Emergency! Dogs need to be moved before CDC ban!
Donation protected
The Kabul Small Animal Rescue will be greatly affected by the CDC ban on dogs from 113 countries beginning on July 14. We place many of our dogs in homes in the US, often with military men and women who served in Afghanistan. While there are coalitions of international rescues working hard to counter the ban, we are focusing these last three weeks of travel on finding placement and funding to move as many of our dogs as possible.
Security in Afghanistan is worsening by the day, and when the ban is lifted in one year, it is unclear whose control the country will be in. We urgently need to move these wonderful dogs out now. Thanks to some spectacular assistance from friends and rescues and networks throughout the US, we have found placement for 37 of our dogs, and will try to place at least 20 more.
We need your help to cover these costs. We are applying for emergency grants, but we need everyone's help to get these animals home while the doors are still open.
