Emergency donation for Ramon Abarca

On Sunday, April 6th, 2025, my dad suffered a stroke as he was getting ready to leave for work. He was rushed to Condell Hospital, where diagnostics were performed, and doctors realized he had a brain clot and needed to be transferred to Lutheran General Hospital for emergency surgery to have it removed.

My dad was the owner of Rhapsody Cafe in Deerfield, and after being in business for many years, he made the difficult decision to close his business and move on to pursue another career. My dad was in between jobs when the stroke occurred, and sadly, his insurance wasn’t going to be active until the beginning of May. My family and I are asking for help to cover any medical costs. We would be eternally grateful and appreciative for any donations. It’s going to be long and difficult recovery but my dad has a lot of people rooting for him. El domingo 6 de abril de 2025, mi padre sufrió un derrame cerebral mientras se preparaba para ir a trabajar. Fue trasladado de urgencia al Hospital Condell, donde le realizaron un diagnóstico y los médicos detectaron que tenía un coágulo cerebral y que debía ser trasladado al Hospital General Luterano para una cirugía de emergencia para extirparlo.

Mi padre era dueño de Rhapsody Cafe en Deerfield y, tras muchos años en el negocio, tomó la difícil decisión de cerrarlo y buscar otra carrera. Estaba entre dos trabajos cuando sufrió el derrame cerebral y, lamentablemente, su seguro no iba a entrar en vigor hasta principios de mayo. Mi familia y yo pedimos ayuda para cubrir los gastos médicos. Estaremos eternamente agradecidos por cualquier donación. Va a ser una recuperación larga y difícil, pero mi padre tiene mucha gente que lo apoya. Por favor, ténganlo presente en sus pensamientos y oraciones.
