Emergency Expenses For EJ

The Mackus family now has a treatment plan. They will have to travel to Gainsville every 3 weeks and having to stay for days at a time. I have full faith that EJ will eventually end up cancer free. But for now, his little body is having to undergo chemo and such. I am upping the goal because this is definitely going to take a financial hit on them. This will help cover gas, food expenses, and any other bumps in the road that will come along the way. Let’s all put together for Baby EJ
Hi. My name is Jasmine. I have a long time friend named Destiney Mackus. Destiney has a sweet little boy named EJ and another sweet little step son named Justin. Destiney is married to Mr.Eddie Mackus.
Destiney and Eddie have been told the unthinkable. Ej, 15 months old, was hospitalized quite a few times with respiratory issues including pneumonia. Last Friday he was just tired and lethargic, with some slight wheezing, and Destineys mommy gut told her it was time to take him back in. He was taken to Gulf Coast where an X-ray was performed. The X-ray showed a black spot that was assumed to be pneumonia. However, shortly after, a ct scan was done and it came back that there was a mass behind his heart, attached to his spine and back muscles. He was immediately sent to Shands In Gainesville where it was there determined that that mass, was unfortunately, neuroblastoma. Sweet little EJ, at the age of just 15 months old, will now undergo procedures and many treatments. They are hoping to get it under control soon so that way he does not end up paralyzed. Destiney and Eddie need all the help, love, and support that they can get. This was a situation nobody could ever imagine having to prepare for. Let’s pull together and help this sweet family. I will continue to update you all on EJ. Thank you all and have a wonderful day.
