PalCrisisRelief: A Humanitarian Aid Project

PalCrisisRelief is formed by a group of volunteers who have come together to address the humanitarian crisis that has been ongoing in Gaza for years. We are dedicated to helping Palestinians, both Gazans affected by the war and those in the West Bank, by raising funds that contribute to vital humanitarian resources and services. We have been fundraising on and off since October 2023 to provide essentials such as food, water, clothing and shelter to those that need them most.

Project background

Originally organized by a group of students, this project is operated by people living in the communities we serve and is supported entirely by volunteers. The work was initially funded with donations from close friends, community members' own funds and the good will of local shop owners and restaurants. However, given the extended duration of the war and continued limited humanitarian aid into the area, there is an ongoing need for more help with the risk of starvation in some parts of Gaza adding significant urgency.

What does your donation support?

1. Food

Hot meals including cooked rice and a protein

2. Water

Clean drinking water

3. Essential supplies

Supplies based on the prevailing need of the moment, including but not limited to tents, mattresses, blankets, clothing and hygiene products, such as sanitary pads for girls and women and diapers for babies.

How does your donation get there?

In our new partnership model, donated funds are sent to our project partners that facilitate getting them to trusted focal points on the ground. We have taken extensive efforts to vet all project leads and focal points and have a system of accountability in place.
