Emergency Fund for Chersevani Family After Devastating Crash

On Friday, March 14, my sister, who is 32 weeks pregnant, set off from Colorado to New Jersey with her husband, their five-year-old daughter, three-year-old son, and their dog, Mochi. They were looking forward to visiting family and getting ready for the arrival of their new baby.

Since my brother-in-law is in the Army and will be deployed just two weeks after the baby is born (this May,) my sister and the kids planned to stay in New Jersey for support. As a result, they packed most of their belongings into the car for the trip.

Tragically, as they entered Kansas, they were caught in a dust storm and were involved in a devastating 50-car pileup. Miraculously, they emerged with only cuts and bruises, and we are incredibly grateful that they are safe, especially considering the many lives lost in this tragic accident.

However, their car was totaled in the accident, and they are unable to recover their belongings, which included essential items for the children, the baby, and my sister. With their only family vehicle destroyed, we are hoping to raise funds to help them acquire a new car and replace what was lost.
