Emergency Fund for Mary and Richard Smissen

I have had so many people ask me how they can help out my family during this time. My mom will not be happy I am doing this but my mom and dad are the first people to give the shirt off their back if they knew you needed one. So this is an opportunity for others to help and serve my parents in this time.

As most of you know my Dad had a heart attack while he touched down for a family reunion in California. He is currently at Hoag Hospital in Newport and is scheduled to have a double bypass surgery later this week. Thankfully he has insurance so we are not looking for people to help with medical bills. This is strictly to help with emergency funds because it looks like his recovery time will be a minimum of 3 weeks, up to 2 months depending on how he recovers. This is strictly to help take the stress off both of them, especially my mom who will have to find places to stay, unexpected expenses, cost of food, gas going to and from the hospital, etc... The hospital won't let her stay there because of Covid so we are going to have to find arrangements for her to stay somewhere while he recovers.

So if you feel it in your heart to help our family in this time this will go to help cover lodging, travel to and from Dallas which is where our home is (For siblings and my mom), food, gas, and any other expenses for the next couple of months while my Dad recovers.
