Emergency Fund for Valencia Flood Victims: Help if You Can

My name is Portia, and my husband Mike and I are expats from Canada and Ireland, living in Valencia. We were incredibly fortunate that our neighborhood was spared from the catastrophic floods this past week, but many families in nearby communities were not so lucky. Tragically, over 200 lives have been lost, thousands of people are displaced, and countless loved ones are still missing. Many are left without food, water, electricity, or shelter, and they urgently need help.

The devastating impact of the floods in Valencia

Our goal is to buy essential supplies like food, water, clothing, battery packs for those desperate to connect with family, medical kits, diapers and more. We will drop these supplies off at one of the local pickup points that deliver to the communities in need. Any unused funds will be donated to Caritas Valencia, a non-profit organization. We are asking our friends and family from back home to please consider donating. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings hope to those facing unimaginable loss.
