Emergency Fundraising for Nguyen
Donation protected
Nguyen Pham is a community hero to me. He has worked tirelessly to support vulnerable communities in San Jose and beyond! While volunteering at Grace Baptist Church last night, November 22, 2020, Nguyen was stabbed and seriously injured. He is currently hospitalized and is now in stable condition. Hospital bills and other related costs will be a burden for him; therefore, I am reaching out to everyone to pitch in for our young hero!
Thanks so much in advance for your care and support and please join me to pray for his speedy recovery!
Xin mọi người cùng Jenny cầu nguyện cho Nguyên qua cơn nạn này và hãy cùng nhau đóng góp để giúp Nguyên.
Love,
Jenny Do
P. S. I just talked to Nguyen today, November 24th, from his hospital bed. He expressed the desire to help another victim who also sustained injuries during the attack. I therefore would like to increase our fundraising goal to $50,000 or more and let our friend carry out his wishes once the fundraising closes. Let Nguyen help others (the other victim) like he has always done in the past! I am very grateful for this circle of love and kindness!
UPDATE November 29, 2020:
Words are not sufficient to express our gratitude for your generosity, care and support you gave to our hero! Just a few lines to update you on his condition: Nguyen is healing and quarantining alone. The wounds are painful but the stitches on his neck, lips, face, head, and arm will be removed next week if not the following week. Spiritually Nguyen is feeling positive. He has nightmares still and plans to see a therapist next week about that. He started to walk around his room and the hallway today. Unfortunately it’s still painful to chew so he drinks a lot of smoothies takes lots of vitamins. He asked friends, supporters, and community members not to send flowers and gifts. Alternatively, you can purchase blankets and give them to the unhoused individuals you see on the streets. It’s getting cold! Nguyen appreciates the love from the community so much! Thank you and Happy Holidays to all! <3
