Emergency Funds for Awendaw local, Judy.

Call for emergency funds for our local friend, Judy:
Anybody who knows Judy knows how hard she works to support herself, her animals, and her local business. Judy is a friend to everyone and is a ray of sunshine to everyone she meets. Judy’s an inspiring female farmer and local business owner. She’s active in our communities, supporting McClellanville’s farmers market for five years and starting a farmers market for the community in Awendaw. The list goes on about the beautiful things Judy has contributed to our Lowcountry and the people she’s known.
Knowing how hard Judy works, and how much she loves what she does as a farmer, loving chicken momma, local business owner, market founder and a market manager, we are all saddened to know Judy’s recently had to seek medical treatment and take time off work.
In June, Judy missed a month’s worth of work due to illness and is only now able to slowly begin working again. Judy supports herself and is primarily self-employed. Just a few weeks of work lost on top of needing medical treatment has seriously put Judy in need of emergency funds.
While she is currently recovering and beginning medical treatment, Judy has already begun going back to work as much as possible. But, mortgage payments and bills cease for no one and while Judy is working as hard as she can to keep money coming in, nobody deserves a financial setback like this.
Now it is time we return the compassion, kindness and love Judy has shown all of us.
We’re taking donations that will be given directly to Judy to help her catch up on missed bills, and make sure she doesn’t have to worry about her home and farm while she continues to seek treatment and get better.
Every little bit counts when it comes to emergency funds that will help get her back on her feet after being sick. We preemptively thank you for your love, support, thoughts, and prayers. Nobody understands ‘It takes a village’ more than the Bulls Bay Area. Thank you, friends.
