Donation protected
Hello dear people all over the World,
my name is Meenakshi and i work as a social worker in a non-govermental organization in Frankfurt, Germany and we advocate for the rights of refugees. The topic of compliance with international human rights and UN children's rights is very close to my heart.
I was very inspired and deeply impressed by Bashar's social commitment to take care of the most vulnerable in society namely children and families in displacement camps.
I am organizing this foundraiser on behalf for my friend Bashar Alzaanin,19 years old in May 2024 he will get 20 years old, citizen of Gaza,to be evacuated from Gaza across the border crossing in Rafah to escape the war and the inhumane, catastrophic living conditions and to find peace and security in Egypt. Bashar who like many Palestinian's have been displaced many times and are suffering under the heavy bombardement from the occupation since octobre 2023. The war on the Gaza strip has no end in sight. Imagine Bashar ist just 19years old,his whole life is still ahead of him.Bashar' s dream of education of a better future, were unfortnately destroyed as universities layed in ruins. The fears what will happened next increasing everyday, like Bashar he explained me.When i started thisfoundraiser campaign i organised it for Bashar and his mother. His mother she changed her opinion, she would like to stay in Gaza. His Mother she wishes for Bashar,he will brought to safety.
I started this fundraiser to raise $10,000 for my friend Bashar to get into Egypt to find safety through the Rafah crossing. The border crossing is organised by an egyptian private travel company, calles "Ya Hala Company".Crossing the border requires a person 6500$. Bashar has to pay the fee direct through the egyptian company. The additional donations from 3500 dollar that Bashar should receive are intended to cover basic needs such as food, hygiene products, medicaments and shelter, when he will arrive in Egypt. The prices in Egypt in all respects are very high.Current prices in all respects are very high in the Gazastrip too.Due to the current war situation Bashar is not able to finance the high costs for the evacuation independently. He relies on donations. The donation amount will be transferred to an account managed by me on Germany,Frankfurt and sent to Bashar via Paypal or Western Union. The donations will be paid directly to Bashar when i will receive the amount. This way of transferring money should work without any problems.I have already sent private donations to Bashar this way.The Plan is in Egypt,Bashar will register as refugee in the UNHCR Office in Cairo or Alexandria and than he will be informed about the fourther process, regarding the issuance of a egyptian residence permit.
Everyday i am in contact with Bashar via Instagram to let him know about every single donation.I am sending him an Screenshot from every single donation.
Due to the current terrible living situation in Gaza and the extremely high prices for food medcine clothes ect.I will sent Bashar a small part of the donations in advance for his everyday fight for survival.Just for your information.
The Story of Bashar:
I became aware of Bashar through his stories on Instagram. Bashar is very active in social media snd he has in Instagram a lot of followers (@basharzaneen).Since the beginning of the war on the 7th of Octobre 2023, Bashar has reported on Instagram on the catastrophic and inhumane living conditions suffered by the Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip (see Instagram story of Bashar: basharzaneen). Since some months we are in regular contact via Instagram, he tells me everyday about the situation in Gaza.We are communicating via WhatsApp or Instagram.
Before the war broke out, Bashar studied engineering at a college in Gaza City. But he did not had a normal life, like mostly of the people in the world, because of the occupation of Gaza City. He still had hope to pursue his dreams and goals despite the occupation. Unfortunately, with the outbreak of war the overall situation changed completely
Bashar is a 19 years very talented Parkour athlete, who has has been pursuing this sport for several years. Together with his friends, he was able to embody the suffering of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip by doing parkour over the ruins of the houses destroyed by the occupation (https://www.instagram.com/p/C2FFgQFNMgy/https://www.instagram.com/p/C2AH9X4tNd6/). Despite the suffering that Bashar experienced and the daily struggle for survival that they face in the refugee camp, his friends and Bashar they play with the children in the camps, organize play activities and show them parkour in a way that puts a smile on children's faces and gives them hope along the way. (see Instagram story of Bashar: https://www.instagram.com/p/C1tbY0qNBi8)
In addition, they also try to donate food to the families in the refugee camps. Helping the families and children in the refugee camps makes Bashar very happy (see Instagram story of Bashar:https://www.instagram.com/p/C2FFgQFNMgy/). Since childhood, Bashar dreams of being a successful person, providing social support to children and their families and spreading love between them. Bashar also records his social commitment to children living in the refugee camps in the Gaza Strip in his stories on Instagram (for example: see Instagram story of Bashar: basharzaneen). Social commitment is very important to Bashar.
Bashar currently lives with his mother in a refugee camp called Deir Al-Bahla on the Mediterranean coast, Unfortunately, he has had no sign of life from his father for 100 years - he is in the north of Gaza. His brother is working as a journalist in the Gazastrip and his sister fled also to an displacement camp with her family.Bashar also looks after his sister-in-law,his two nephews and his niece, she borned in the war three month ago, they live together in a camp.He took care of them because his brother is working as a journalist in the field.
When the war started Bashar and his family stayed at their home in Gaza City for more than 30 days after this the the occupying army bombed a house behind the house, then they decided to leave their house. Bashar describes this moment as the loss of his life's most beautiful memories. They left their house without taking any personal items such as clothes and passports with them, hoping to return to their house after three days. Bashar and his family fled to the south of Gaza and found shelter in a refugee camp, where they built a tent out of wood. After a few days, the occupying army bombed the camp where they were staying. They fled again to the "El Zawaida Camp", where his sister lived with her husband. You can see the description of his life story very sensitively on Instagram (see Instagram story of Bashar:https://www.instagram.com/p/C2pTpnvt3Qe/?img_index=1).
Bashar and his family are being uprooted, they are being driven from one refugee camp to the next, Palestinian people are not free in their own land. With food, medicine and water shortages, rain showers and freezing cold, they are facing one of the most difficult humanitarian situation in the Palestinian history. Infectious diseases are spreading in the refugee camps. The living conditions in the refugee camps are catastrophic; life is characterized by malnutrition and polluted water. There is a great famine in the Gaza Strip due to the closure of the crossings and the lack of international aid. Bashar lost approximately 25 kilograms of body weight since beginning oft he war. In the last story on Instagram of Bashar (see Instagram story of Bashar: https://www.instagram.co/p/C3AL2DqtMmJ/), Bashar describes the catastrophic health conditions that he and the entire Palestinian population in the camps have to suffer from. The right to freedom, life and physical integrity is no longer given. Physical integrity is a fundamental right of all people, but in Gaza this human right is ignored. The constant fear of bombing and expulsion represents a strong psychological burden that no one can be expected to endure in the long term.
Choosing to leave his country Palestine is for Bashar and his family a painful decision, but the current situation leaves no other way out.
Bashar and me we are both private individuals, we don't belong to any organization. Neither Bashar nor I belong to any extremist organization and do not represent right-wing extremist ideas. We represent the basic attitude of peace and freedom all over the world. To learn more about Bashar, you can visit his Instagram profile (basharzaneen) and my Instagram profile is here (meenakshi.kumar8).
I hope that with your help, Bashar can pursue his dreams and goals in a safe environment and rebuild his life. His main dream is to continue his studys and practice Parkour in a safe environment.Bashar would have the opportunity tu pursue his goals again. Please donate what you can and share Bashar's story far and wide to make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.Bashar it's a very Kind soul and he deserves a better future to follow his goals.
We would be very grateful to all of you for your contribution and will share this appeal for donations on social networks, via email with your friends and family.
We would like to thank you very much for your attention and support!
