Emergency Help for a Dialysis Patient
Donation protected
In the last event (which I'm still dealing with) my disability benefits got suspended because I was working and trying to make more because disability benefits aren't enough to live on.
While those benefits are back (kinda) it's still not enough to live on until I can get myself a part-time job which I'm still looking for.
It's tough when you're disabled and go to dialysis 3 times per week to get a job that will work with you and the time off you need for your treatments. I'm doing my best to stay positive in this fight but truth be told it's very hard to do so.
So for now I'm reluctantly asking for assistance until I find something that can supplement my income. This is a challenge though but at least it won't be made worse by me being out on the street. As many know, my food stamps was reduced from $194 to now only $16 which happened only ONE MONTH after being approved. I can't get rental assistance because the list is 5 years long and for some reason I was deemed ineligible. So for now this has to be my reality until a job comes along.
I'm grateful and I appreciate whatever you can do and I hope that I can pay it forward some day. This has proven to be a tough period in my life but I'm going to stay positive and make it because I have loved ones counting on me to make it through this.
Thank you for reading and I appreciate you
