Emergency Help for the Byrd - Bradford Family

I'm raising emergency money on behalf of my aunt, uncle, and cousins who are about to be evicted from their home. All of the funds collected go directly to them.

Short Version of The Story

My cousin and uncle have suffered extreme, debilitating health events in the past couple of years. My aunt and neices are caring for them and have little opportunity to work. They're being kicked out of their rental home and need money to put a deposit and first month's rent down plus moving costs to an accessible rental.

The Story

The last year and a half has been very hard for my family. On top of the pandemic wrecking its usual havok, my cousin Shannon has been dealing with heart issues and had to have a second open heart surgery in August of 2022. While recovering she had a freak accident the next month that resulted in a severe spinal cord injury. To the point where we weren't sure she would make it off life support.

She did, thankfully, and has been slowly recovering. However, she's paralyzed from the waist down and requires around the clock care. Plus, she currently has endocarditis and will require another open heart surgery as well as a neurological surgery to support her neck since they removed so much bone during the surgery for the spinal injury.

Her two daughters are caring for Shannon, but that means they can't really work and income is low.

On top of that, Shannon's mother, my aunt Sandra, is helping to care for her and my uncle Butch, who is wheelchair bound after a stroke.

Yes, it's a LOT.

Due to this, the house they're renting hasn't been as cared for as it could be since everyone is stressed out and exhausted. Despite this, the landlord is forcing them out over the issues with the house. They have found a new place to go that will be accessible for both my cousin and uncle, but need $5000 at least to cover a deposit, rent, and moving costs.

If you could help them reach this goal and not have to stress about getting the new place, all my family will be grateful.
