Emergency help for the Newman & Munford family

The family wants to thank all EMS responders, the Grand Traverse Sheriffs Department, the staff at Munson Medical Center, the transport team, the staff at Helen Devos Children’s Hospital and the community for their extensive work and support during this difficult time of grief and recovery.

On November 6th, 2023, Kieth & Clayton were involved in a head on collision while riding their dirt bikes.

Both were transported by Kalkaska EMS to Munson Medical Center in Traverse City where Kieth tragically passed away after extensive efforts by the medical team.

Clayton was transferred to Helen Devos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids for further treatment.

Update 11/8/2023

Clayton, 14, is home with the family and recovering at this time. Clayton and the family have a long road ahead of them that will require continued prayers and support.

Kieth, 12, was a beautiful young boy with a life ahead of him. He loved anything to do with the outdoors, riding dirt bikes, animals, his family and his friends. He will be greatly missed by so many.

A meal train has been setup as well to allow the family time to focus on each other and begin the process of healing.

Our goal is to reach $25,000 for funeral and medical expenses for Kieth & Clayton, and to allow Star and Levi to take time off work to be at home with their family.
