Emergency:Help Abdulhamid Family to evacuation from Gaza

Dear friend and compassionate community

I trust this message finds you well.

My name is Omar Issam Abdel Hamid, a 24-year-old residing in Gaza City, currently displaced in Rafah due to the ongoing state of war in my region.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from the College of Information Technology and work as an application developer.

My sister Raneem is a pharmacist in her third year at university, but she stopped studying because her university was bombed. Help her to complete her education outside Gaza to save people's lives.

Unfortunately, the prevailing circumstances, including the absence of electricity and internet, have severely impacted my ability to continue my professional responsibilities.

Compounding this challenge is the dire situation my family of 7 members faces. We have experienced significant disruption to our lives, with no access to basic amenities, such as electricity,water and internet. The current state of war has not only jeopardized our safety but has also led to the destruction of our family home.

I am reaching out with an urgent humanitarian request for assistance.

We aim to exit Gaza to Egypt via the Rafah crossing, which requires expensive coordination It is not possible to leave without coordination.

We lost everything in this war. Our house was burned, vandalized and robbed. Our livelihoods have been destroyed. We cannot work, we cannot live, and there is no safe place to go. We are currently displaced in Rafah, living in a shelter, with barely any food or clean water. The threat of bombing continues on our house after it was burned, vandalized, and furniture stolen.

Moreover, the monthly expenses for our family, estimated at 2,000 pounds, cover essential needs such as food, drink, and housing rent. Over the past six months, we have faced a cumulative expense of 12,000 pounds, depleting our savings and resources due to the impact of war, infectious diseases, and environmental disasters.

However, the fees to evacuate are enormous. It takes up to $10000 per person. We lost our savings, our sources of income and our house, and I have no money to evacuate my family to safety.

Even after evacuation, I will have to rebuild our lives from the start. We hope to raise some money to help us find some basic needs - food, a home, medicines and treatment that will be necessary after we evacuate.

Iban bank Transfer Charges (Britain to Egypt): Approx. £100
